just pre-ordered today (well about to, i'm taking my old xbox and games and getting about $200 for trade in)

its a second shipment pre-order but they are working very hard to try and get the 2nd shipment to be same days as first. but more than likely its going to be a few days later. Which is no biggie.

but yeah, i just built a new rig

4800+ AMD 64 x2
2gb corsair ultra low latency ram
raid 0 74gb 10,000rpm raptor drives
lightscribe burner
7800gtx

in this case...

I just played it for a couple hours. It's phenomenal. I've never seen such graphic quality with no slowdown. I'd like to know what engine it is. It feels like a highly tweaked doom3 engine. I don't have a legit copy as of yet so no online play but when I get paid friday I think I'll be buying it.

reminds me too much of call of duty 1.

at first i thought i had installed call of duty 1 by accident but then the missions were a little different.

and this is with graphics turned up to MAX and res. at 1920x1200

I'll pick this up sometime in the next few weeks. Got a lot of friends playing multiplayer competitively right now. I played the original on a couple TWL ladders and had a blast. Single player was pretty fun too.

I loved the 1st CoD, and UO.

This is even better, so far. I definitely like it.

the multiplayer is a bit off in this one I think...with the advent of the trench gun and the lack of a health meter, you can't hold weapons individually (i.e., grenade to set tripwires) at least not that I know of. and no running makes the online play seem like it's in slow motion, at least to me...maybe I just need to get used to it

Did you play COD 1 multiplayer? From what you described it sounds the same. You could only run one speed unless you crouched which made you go slower. There were trench guns in COD 1. The no health meter sounds a little off though...
