don't like AIM
and trillain's been screwy so i'm lookin' for somethin' else

any ideas?

well there's AIM, gaim, trillian, and that AIM Triton beta (might be more, don't really know)

then there's adaptations to regular AIM:
Aimutation
Palfun (the best imo)
Dead AIM
Middleman

and a few others I find terrible


On another note, if trillian has been signing on and off a lot lately try updating your aim.dll plugin because a lot of trillian users have been experiencing this lately because AIM changed up their service a little with the last update I believe.

Only substitutes I have used are GAIM and Trillian.

And Trillian sucked.

GAIM is bad on interface design, but good on functionality.

no skins that I am aware of

although it comes with a plethora of smileys

and supports plugins

Personally, I use the official AIM as voice is an important thing I need.
