so in this computer there are (2) 128mb sticks of DDR ram.
i dont know shit about ram. i tried to add a 256mb stick in another slot and the computer wont post. usually. sometimes it will show the ram as bios loads. sometimes it doesnt. if it ever does get to windows, windows ends up crashing pretty soon.
is it just a bad stick?
the only difference is the 128/256 thing. they both say 266mhz/CL2.5/PC2100

I'd update the bios, manually set the cas and fsb, and run memtest86 for a couple hours for good measure 10/28/2005 12:07:14 PM |
