here's the problem:
i have a dell latitude d600 that i use to be able to my games on for as long as i wanted
and now after i play 10-15 minutes the same games will become extremely slow. I never overworked my computer cuz i never played games on it for more than an hour at a time, but i would like to play a game more thatn 10-15 minutes.

i keep my system clean (i defrag often, i've reformatted a few times, no spyware/adware, no viruses, always clean registry, etc)
i've reseeded the memory
i've never dropped or bumped the computer
i've gotten rid of some of the extra windows xp shit (outlook, no themes, no messanger, etc)
i've run hardware scans and everything passes
is there anyone that knows what's wrong???

1. Have you overclocked anything?
2. Are you trying the same games you've always played?
3. Are the environment factors the same as they always have been (ie heat)?

1. dell locks the FSB
2. His post indicates he is playing the same games.

Do the games become slow as in the frames are lower than usual ? What games are you playing? what are your hardware specs?

*i've been tryin to play call of duty and nhl 2006
my computer has always been able to handle them fine, and i even was able to play half-life 2 with no problem
*ive always try to keep the fan clear of obstruction so nothing ever really gets that hot, i've compared temperature with my girlfriends computer and it wasnt much different
*and my pagin file size is standard now, ive tried to adjust it but i didnt know an optimal setting

my laptop has 512 mb RAM, 32 mb video, 1.8 ghz processor, not a beast but my games have always worked great until a few months ago

it could be a heat problem.. It seems more likely that the game would crash though. Try posting here:

Post under the video card section and someone will probably have a good answer for you.

It's heat; it used to happen to me with my old computer until I replaced the case.

Also,

http://www12.tomshardware.com/images/thg_video_1_cpu_cooling.zip

if you want to see examples of games slowing down due to an overheating cpu.

Also watch it if you want to see a cpu hit 370 degrees C (yes, 370 C) and burn.

Beats me.

Maybe a can of air to the intake and exhaust vents?
