Rush, Bortz, Savage are the only ones I listen to, but only when I'm in the car and feel like a laugh. Rush is genuinely funny, Savage is unintentionally so, and Boortz is 50/50.
Hannity's just a douche.
And so is the new local guy on WPTF. 11/7/2005 10:10:53 PM |

i listened to hannity the other night for about 5 minutes.
he kept complaining about how George Clooney was making poor old Joe McCarthy look bad (like it fucking matters these days).
I usually follow this rule of thumb: political pundits are the lowest form of life on the face of the earth, and thats no matter the side. unfortunately, ill stumble across one on the radio while trying to find ESPN radio and be curious enough to subject myself to them for a few minutes.
whose the guy on WBT in Charlotte that likes to complain about inner city councilmen and hispanics? i caught him one time trying to find our bball game on the radio.

I agree with that. Hannity has gotten really whiney in the past year and a half... I only listen to him as a last resort.
And the new local guy sucks balls. he comes across as so arrogant and yet he never says anything particularly original.
the one before him was much much much better. its a shame we lost him

Yeah, at least he had skill.
The new guy's shtick is incredibly irritating. "Let me see just how condescending a person can become without exploding." 11/7/2005 10:17:21 PM |

Pundits are for people who feel the need to join in a circle jerk -- either the guy is just reaffirming what you already believe, or he's your opponent, in which case you take everything he says as so self-evidently stupid that your side is flawless by comparison.
I don't watch/read/listen to any of them, ever. 11/7/2005 11:08:44 PM |

^^^i don't necessarily agree. for example, i like chris matthews, regardless of what position he takes on things. i like joe scarborough, but his show has sucked lately. moving away from political commentary and towards tabloid news. i also like neil boortz. 11/8/2005 1:25:40 AM |

Quote : | "MSNBC's Chris Matthews repeatedly smeared Democrats; media looks the other way
MSNBC Hardball host Chris Matthews repeatedly smeared Democrats this week, lying about a memo distributed by Democratic aides. Matthews described the memo about Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito as an example of Democrats "going after [Alito's] ethnicity" by saying Alito was "lenient on the mob back in an '88 case."
In fact, the memo said nothing of the kind, as Media Matters noted. Matthews was flat-out lying. The document didn't say Alito was "lenient on the mob" or anyone else; rather, it said Alito lost a case. Matthews didn't quote the document; he simply waved it in the air -- as though it contained the names of dozens of "known communists" -- while lying about its contents. Contrary to Matthews's claims, the document made no mention -- not a single one -- of Alito's "ethnicity," made no suggestion that Alito was "lenient," made no claims that Alito "let the Lucchese family get off." All of those allegations against Alito sprang from Matthews's overheated imagination, not from the Democratic memo." |
