NCSU is holding a competition between all students. The competition starts immediately and continues until Monday the 21st. This is an easy opportunity to win even more prizes.
You must get as many people to download Microsoft OneNote as possible for NCSU.

We track your progress by using referral codes that you will need to provide to us. You must create and submit a referral code to us by a post or a PM. When you get people to download the program, you must tell them to use your referral code and this will get you credit for the download.
The prizes are in gift card form to the place of your choice:
1st place - $50
2nd place - $30
3rd place - $20
Also, our regular prizes are still up for grabs for every individual who downloads OneNote. They include:
Toyota Prius
XBOX 360
Tablet PC laptop

jman, let me explain something about online message boards. People really HATE other people who come on here STRICTLY to advertise a product/service/whatever of theirs. Contribute something to the site first (i.e. post to some threads), THEN we'll listen to what you have to say. Your product/service/whatever does not count as a contribution.

Well obviously I am a new member and I will start making posts, but I can't just do it instantly. All I am trying to do is promote FREE software that many people have already taken advantage of and enjoyed. This is NOT a product that is being sold to you.
Furthermore, this post is in the interest for students that would like to win something more than the usual student. Everyone now has an easy opportunity to get money for simply getting other people to download the free OneNote software. We care so much because this is a job and we are hired to do this. It does not seem right that some people give this kind of response, but we have also had a lot of success and wish to continue this. I tried the version that was given out at the career fair. Didn't fit my style/wasn't my cup of tea, so I uninstalled it. Now will you listen to me?

You've been registered for 274 days ... you definition of "instantly" must differ from mine by quite a bit. If you've been inactive, get with the program, find a forum you like and start posting, its not that hard.

I wouldn’t call this a pyramid scheme. We are promoting the software and in order for us to get the word out better, we offered prizes to people that think they can get the word out to the most people. I don’t see the big deal with a simple concept.
Also, I did register a long time ago and was inactive obviously. Big deal that I don’t sit at my computer reading all the threads and making posts. This fact should have no relevance to people wanting to download a free program to try out. However, the website is very useful and will probably be used by me more often.

Well unfortunately we only have a little over a month left. Our program ends December 31st, so we will not be promoting anymore at after that. At that point we will be giving out prizes for the people who have downloaded onenote.
