plausible facts my ass. just stfu. No one can use that "oh jay davis would have won them argument" nor that "stone would have won the games jay lost". Simple fact is that the team seemed to have a fire under them with stone at qb that wasn't there with davis. And I'll agree that stone isn't anything to brag about since our defense and running game played a big role in winning games but stone was also a part of it.

our mediocre defense got pumped up and started playing after that safety

and that carried on into the next weekend and to today

i'll admit this---i'm surprised we got to his point because i had my doubts about stone and thought he would cause us to play horribly (which in my opinion he has). but he didn't play horrible enough to not get us to where we are now so i'll give him that. Do i think he GOT us to a bowl? no way. In my opinion, we'd be where we are now if Jay Davis had played, and I believe our wins would have looked more like wins instead of non-losses.

nope . . . they never made Stone look good. Stone looked like pure shit in the first half of most of the games. The defense and the running looked good in those games however and for the most part kept us in them. But when the second half came around, Stone made himself look decent. He stepped up and made throws when necessary. This is something Jay never did. Once Jay had a couple bad possessions then he was done for and could never recover from it.


That is of course ignoring the BC game where the whole team looked sub-par.

yep. thats exactly what stone did, and its what davis failed to do these past two years. thats why stone is in. he might not win games for us, but he sure as fuck doesn't lose them for us.
