I noticed some of you talking about the reverse flow induction from the other thread, so here is some info on it for you all to bitch about

this is from another forum

Quote :
"Runs on E85 uses Flathead V8 Crab distributor (with original points), 2 racks of Honda 750 motorcycle carbs, remote water pump, and remote radiator - No external moving parts.

Reverse flow camshaft available from Berry Cam Service"

here is the link to his blog about it
http://cleverlever99.blogspot.com/

I sent him a PM asking questions about it, and here's what he replyed with:
Quote :
"Dave

Gravity worked out fine as long as you make sure you have a good vent on the tank.

Adjusting the carbs is just like on the motor cycle. Can use a sync gauge or a stethoscope. Had to change the springs in the vac pistons to dampen their surging movement.

I have a ramping issue on the cam that isn't working correctly with the hydraulic lifters and I have no advance in the distributor. I am thinking of going completely manual utilizing the Model a spark lever to control the spark advance.

I will have to use velocity stacks that I will make out of copper tubing to keep the carbs from fogging into each other.

I will refine it and I would appreciate any suggestions you would make that would make the car more interesting. Many people have said don't change a thing just tune it better."

This guy (Cob Burandt) also invented the variable timing engine, that later became the honda VTec, but somehow he got screwed out of the patent or something. Here is the webpage for that:
