the old thread was dead, but after seeing this for the first time, i have to say it might be one of the most misleading movies i've ever seen. i mean, those ninja guys are only in the movie for like 3 minutes, giovanni ribisi is protrayed as a total douche the entire movie then gets to be nasa's hero, and all the conflict is wrapped up in a buddy buddy sequence at the end. blah

I saw it a few weeks ago, I didn't really like it. I kept thinking that guy in the red hat would end up saving them somehow since it never actually showed him die. And I don't see why the character that Giovanni Ribisi played didn't just lie to them and be like "yeah, my company makes models as well as big planes. I work on the big ones," just so he could keep their trust.

I NetFlix'd it about a month ago. We enjoyed it, but the concept and some of the shit on it was pretty stupid. Plus the trailers made it look like they had a wild adventure or something and really they just fuckin' chilled around a plane in the sand.

But I still liked seeing it once. Won't rent it again, but I enjoyed watching it. Apparently I can suspend my disbelief and don't carry terribly high expectations when I go to the movies.

Giovanni Ribisi is the only saving grace of the movie. Dennis Quaid is a bootlegged Harrison Ford. tyrese is the dumbest darkest piece of shit to ever appear on the screen.

The original is better. The acting in this one was crappy.

I liked the original though, so I couldn't hate this one. But, if I had never seen the original, I would have only very marginally liked this one.
