has anyone else given a listen to Live it Out, i'm actually impressed..

fyi, this is guitarist and girl vocalist from broken social scene

They're all right, but not nearly as good as Broken Social Scene (or Stars, for that matter).

i bought their cd bc i had one of thier songs stuck in my head

i thought the entire cd was horrible except the one song i bought it for.
i have never been so disappointed.

i have liked all the albums from bss, i thought this one made the girls voice sound kinda hot in a peculiar way

funny you mention them, i just downloaded my first song from them earlier today, "soft rock star", pretty good, i need to check out more of their stuff

They're from Toronto and are a pretty good band. I got to see them at my university up in Oh, Canada early this past semester. Since their a local band here, they're played ALL the time on the radio stations here and their songs get stuck in your head!!

bss/metric/rest of them should get a tour going in the US, i heard about the one in DC a little too late, but i want to check them out live

No offense or anything, but they kind of sound like Lucious Jackson, but no where near as good.

Metric is pretty good live, but unfortunately, the venue that my university gave to them had HORRIBLE sound. Metric had the volume of their music turned up so loud (and we were in a room about the size of the Cat's Cradle) that there were times I couldn't hear/understand the lyrics.

i am referring to Live it Out, it came out a month or two ago. I think i read somewhere that ^ was terribly disappointing and this was their response to redeem themselves

Neither one is great.

I think they're both all right, though. Nothing to write home about.
