I know if you have that many you are allowed to ask for an alternative exam time. How long do you have to do that? My prof forgot to send out an e-mail that their exam wasn't at the standard exam time of this thursday at 1, and is instead tomorrow at 6. I found out the new time by e-mailing students in the class asking for the exam room # which the prof had also neglected to mention. That means I have a final at 8 am tomorrow, at 1 pm tomorrow, and at 6 pm tomorrow. Since its the day before is it too late to request a change? 12/5/2005 3:04:34 PM |

you should have definately done it earlier, but it wouldn't hurt to try and contact your most understanding professor and tell him your situation
you better act quickly though 12/5/2005 3:40:14 PM |

Talk to the prof who changed the exam time. They aren't supposed to do that without verifying that not a single student has a conflict with it, and should allow you to take the exam during the officially scheduled time. 12/5/2005 4:19:56 PM |

I had that happen last semester
and two of the professions refused to move it because "they didn't feel like holding another exam time" and suggested that I ask another professor to move theirs
hopefully you don't have the same professors i did 12/5/2005 4:24:14 PM |

If the prof moved the exam, ask him first. That's not tottally cool as previously stated, so he should agree to allow you to take it later. 12/5/2005 4:26:22 PM |

by e-mailing her and getting responses & things said outside of class time i believe. occasionally class has been going on 5 or 10 minutes by the time i get there at the starting time.
but i've decided to go ahead and do 3 in one days... its been a little hectic with my car not turning on this morning... but to get so many exams done with in one day has its appeals. 12/6/2005 10:16:39 AM |

2nd one down, 1 more to go...
i finished this one in 50 mins... i wrote solid the whole time so i hadn't payed attention to others. i was suprised to find i was the first one done. the prof gave me a kinda look for being done so much before the others. i looked around and most of them were looking off into space trying to think of things to write. i hope my preparedness allowed quick finish doesn't hurt my grade as opposed to unprepared blank stare slowness. i'm not trying to be arrogant here, its just that in a diff class this semester i finished first and the history professor failed me for that test. i looked at the test when i got it back and he took of points for not giving dates on any of the questions, whereas I gave dates for everything that warrented dates... & other points he didn't read and thus failed to give me credit for. He admitted it later and gave some points back...but with finals there is no student review, so no way to insure finishing early doesn't result in a similar punishment. 12/6/2005 2:54:12 PM |

since so many people are following this thread, i thought i'd update.
first 2 went well, horrible on the 3rd on... but my earlier grade in the semester will pull me through this required foriegn language class that will have no benefit to me in gradschool.
only 1 final left, its tomorrow... my grade for that class is hovering around the C- minus range... this final could make or break that class for me. my notes for the class are a mess, it will take me longer to create a suitable study guide for myself than it will to study for the exam... probably longer than the exam itself will last. my current theory is that perhaps if i ignore it, it will go away. 12/7/2005 12:37:17 AM |

If you're that worried you can always email and set up an appointment to go over the exam with your professor, just be sure to make it known soon that you want to do it and work it in.12/7/2005 3:53:27 AM |
