Maybe there is some kind of switch or something that causes write protection? Like that little black square on the top left of a diskette. 12/7/2005 3:27:07 PM |

well i put a couple movies on it for him, and i had no problems accessing it from my computer.
i think hes had this problem before, i put downloaded movies on his computer and his computer couldnt read the file or something so it would freeze up. right now hes having the same problem. 12/7/2005 11:58:05 PM |

Download and install the VLC. Windows Media sucks at playing everything. See if that helps. 12/8/2005 3:33:05 AM |

^ she did and it still won't play...vlc won't play something with the latest codec if they don't have the latest codec installed 12/8/2005 9:47:05 AM |

i'd just get rid of all video codecs on the system (that are possible to remove) and install 3ivx: http://www.3ivx.com/download/windows.html
of course, any additional required codecs should be installed as well, but that takes care of most everything. 12/8/2005 12:19:14 PM |
