I entered my major in 2001, just came back from a year off (starting in the spring). While I was off they revamped my program and there's now a new degree audit, some classes were completely wiped out, some combined, and some new ones added to the program. Also some classes which were required, no longer are and vice versa. When I go to reg. and recs. and hit degree audit I get the old one, I would be happy if there is some sort of grandfather rule and I only have to meet the requirements of the old one. But I also don't want to sign up for classes that aren't going to count or end up not getting things done on time because of course conflicts in coming semesters. The program is TED, does anyone know how this works, if I can go by the program the way it was or if I have to go by how it is now? When I talked to a faculty member in the program about 3 months ago they seemed to believe that I would have to go by the new one, but the classes that I had already taken would count. However, he may have been confused. I don't understand why the old degree audit would even be available (not to mention to be the one that comes up for me) if it's not in play anymore. I've emailed my advisor but he is always slow replying (if at all), and he's never really done much for me as an advisor anyway. So if anyone knows how this works in general or specifically in the TED program I would greatly appreciate it considering that at this point every day can make a difference in getting the right class.
