You need to be more specific...as in what car? Doesn't matter that it's a 5SFE engine, need to know the chassis. 12/11/2005 2:44:58 PM |

Hold on to yer butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111
Oh, BTW, there are cheaper radiators out there. Advance can order you one cheaper than their GDI that they normall carry. Also try Radiator Barn like Kyle said.
Also...You can call Modine right here in town and see what they get for one, or maybe Performance Radiator out offa Hwy 401 S. They also have a web page, and you can order directly online if you do so desire.

sorry, wrong engine code, it's not turbo [yet]. anyway, it's kate's car dan, I replaced the radiator with the one from carquest but it leaks like a motherfucker. I think it's leaking from auto transmission passage that comes on these new universal type radiators. I have to go back out there tomorrow I spent 9 hours out there today dealing with stupid ass rusted bolts. 12/11/2005 11:45:16 PM |

There's no physical way the radiator can leak out the tranny cooler lines. I'd be interested in finding out where else (if anywhere) she's leaking.
I'd also be interested in finding out if the head gasket is still intact. 12/12/2005 1:35:26 AM |

no oil in the coolant, haven't checked for coolant in the oil, so I'd say it's in functioning condition. the hoses looked almost new. tomorrow I'm going back out there to take the plastic cover off the bottom as and trying to find where it's leaking from. the coolant leak is so bad I think I lost over 1 gallon of coolant in 10min 12/12/2005 3:53:36 AM |

HG's can blow and there not be any fluid contamination. 12/12/2005 2:42:50 PM |

well I fixed the leak, I guess the lower hose clamp wasn't up to par. I swapped the lower hose and put on some of those screw type hose clamps. there's air in the system though. took a while to show up. I got maybe 6 miles and then the temp started fluxuating from normal to through the roof. I parked it to let it cool. I'll let it run for a while with the cap off and just let it bubble over and add more fluid until all the air is out. anyone else know of a better way to go about this? 12/12/2005 5:17:12 PM |
