i hit something on tryon tonight. it's that place where one lane goes to two. i think i went to the left lane too early...on and off and on the road too fast. both passenger side tires blew and now i don't know what to do.

it's a '94 legend. i love the car to death, but it has bad luck. i don't think there's any mechanical damage. both rims appear to still be round and roll-worthy, but the tires look rough. it's pulled off to a dirt road on tryon right now.

i need help deciding on how to fix it. i don't have AAA. i don't have much money and this car needs to be rolling soon just to get me to work.

any suggestion is a good suggestion. i'm starting early tomorrow with the yellowpages and the quotes. if you know anyone who might be able to help me fix something like this, please let me know. it's the first time i've been on my own and taking care of my car...real afraid of outrageous costs and expensive tows.

thanks for helping!

the outside of the rim looks round, but the inside could be bent. depends on how hard you hit it.

really hard. i'm hoping for a miracle.

this really is a lot of bad luck...all coming at once. i'm hoping this won't cost a lot and the best person to fix it does road service. there's no way i can afford a tow.

i'm getting AAA after this. my oath.

A tow is only gonna be around 45 bucks as long as you have it towed during regular business hours. You just need to specify that you need a rollback truck.

Why don't you yank one wheel off and have a friend take you to a tire dealer like Merchants or NTB or hell, even Walmart. Then you can go back, put that and the spare on, and drive back and get another one, provided your rims aren't bent to hell.

yeah, i'd pull one wheel off and go get it fixed and put the spare on the other side. That makes the most sense and would prolly be the cheapest.

you need to actually call the places to see who will be cheaper. you can get quotes from some tire place websites too if you are a phoneafobe

inspected the damage in the daylight. both front and back rims are bent. and the dip i hit roadside was about a foot deep.

back tire might be salvageable, but the front rubber is ripped. back wheel won't even come off and i replaced the front wheel with the spare.

a guy from NTB is looking at it right now.

should i go ahead and do some ebay shopping for some new rims? are there any local junkyards that might have a set of wheels for an acura legend?

Good luck on that, Legends are hard to come by. It would probably be cheaper and easier to get something other than stock.

okay. i posted in classifieds that i was looking for a spare/wheel and tire that's five lug and belongs to an Acura or a Honda. i'm looking to replace one wheel on the car. the spare i had fit fine, but now the back needs to get rolling.

i need anything and would rather pay for a spare or one or a couple of (cheap) wheels (don't have to match) that might fit the car to get me to work.

anything, guys/girls? the car's stranded right now and i really need to be at work tomorrow afternoon. no salvage yards are opened on the weekends. i'm trying ebay, but nothing's coming up, and even so, nothing could really be that quick of a remedy.

help. this sucks!

You might be able to get some Honda Accord rims....if you are lucky they may be close to the legend.

do what? Seems like that's when they'd do their best business...are you sure about that?
