Why does it take my car about 30 minutes to start blowing warm air after I cold start it?

no I am not. Also the coolant temperature fluctuates between cold and the red point until it starts blowing hot air.

Check the level of your coolant, most probably it's low.

I topped the coolant a month ago and it isn't leaking. Are you sure that could be the problem?

bleed the lines...open up the cap on the top of the radiator, turn car on, let run, add coolant/water until full, watch and make sure no bubbles come up and see if that works

burping the system doesn't always work. it might have a bleed screw somewhere.

might need a thermostat.

when was the last time the coolant was flushed?

ok, so if the rumors are true and it is a 3.8 mustang, there is a bleeder screw on the heater line directly behind the themostat housing and about 6 inches up, you cant miss it, it sticks up higher than everything else. take it out, (cold) start the engine, and stick it back in when water starts running out.

my car takes longer to provide me with warmth than i think it should, also it runs hotter than it should with a 180 degree tstat, i think the cooling system is gooey throughout and i plan on flushing it.

I checked the reservoir, and it was completely empty. I have filled it up with a can of coolant and I think it's better than before.
