would he pass on the spider mutation? 12/17/2005 8:42:30 PM |

Depends on whether he has spiderballs.
Also where in the genetic structure it takes place. If it were on the Y chromosome and he had a daughter, nothing would be passed on.

if it was a son, it would have to be on the Y chromosome if a daughter, it would have to be on the X chromosome

Is Spider-Girl his daughter?
^^ Well, it could be kept on any of the other chromosomes and be sex-independent. It depends on a lot of things. It could just be on one of a pair, and just get missed altogether. 12/17/2005 10:22:00 PM |

That's a possibility.
His spider sperm might be incompatible with Mary Jane's human ladyparts. But I think she got knocked up once or twice in the comics (not sure). 12/17/2005 10:27:36 PM |

it doesnt have to be on either of those, it could be on any of the other 44 chromosomes
and then it could be on only one chromosome so the kid would have a 50% chance of getting it, or there could be lots of mutations on different chromosomes so the kid could get different powers.

also, if it were on the X chromosome, and it were dominant, then it would show up in either sex. Whereas if it were on the X chromosome and it were recessive, then it would show up in any son, and in any daughter he had with a spider-woman.
