Tiki Barber has had more of an impact on his team than alex... i say that only because the rest of Tiki's O is ass.

And what about Steve Smithers.

Smitty wont get it. I would love to see it happen, and you can definitely argue that he is the biggest contributor in the NFL to his team's success. However, if Jerry Rice never got it, Steve Smith wont.

Brady aint gettin that either

Agreed but I would think in any Top 5 Brady needs to be up there. He has played well enough but obviously Palmer and Manning should both get it over him...

How can you have a top five and not include Shaun Alexander. He leads the league in TDs, is the best player on the best team in the NFC, and has been consistent all year. LT was great early in the season and Peyton has been a stud of late, but if I had a pick, I'd go with Alexander. You cannot punish a professional player just because his team's schedule is weaker.

NO MATTER HOW GOOD SEATTLE IS THEY ARE STILL A SMALL MARKET TEAM....IF ALEXANDER WAS PLAYING FOR ANY OF THE OTHER POTENTIAL CONTENDERS THEN YES HE WOULD BE MENTIONED BUT HE ISN'T.....I LIKE ALEXANDER BUT HE WILL NOT WIN MVP....SRY

Sorry there is no way that Shaun isnt in the top 5. Its ludicrous to not even have him in the top 5. ANd I say Edge over Peyton but I can see why Peyton would win. But you CANNOT say Shaun isnt in the top 5.

Alexander belongs up there regardless of what teams he is playing. All of those teams are still NFL teams. Besides he or the Seahawks can help the schedule they drew.

141 yards and 4 TDs against Houston

140 yards and 4 TDs against Arizona

223 yards and 3 TDs against SF in two games

284 yards and 5 TDs against St. Louis in two games

14 games played

6 of them against 4 of the worst teams in football

873 yards...over half of his yards to date

16 TDs...two thirds of his numbers in that category

talk about padding some fucking stats

faultered against solid defenses

constantly running the ball to run out the clock protecting massive leads against shitty comp

and the experts know it

which is why he's not oging to win the award

in fact

his ONLY mvp-worthy game against a decent team came against Atlanta with 144 yards and 1 TD

and even Atlanta can be pretty fucking suspect at times

i yawn at your selection

This years most Valuable player should go to the entire Colt Defense. They have made a huge difference in that team, even though they lost to SD.

Understatement. They have one of the worst rushing defenses on this side of Houston.

I definitely don't think Alexander deserves it.

I think its ridiculous to suggest anyone other than Peyton Manning.

They're 13-1 and he's the best player in the league by far.... I dont see how you could mention anyone elses name in good faith.

IF the Panthers win out, Steve Smith stays in first in receptions and receiving yards, and takes the lead in TD receptions, I say give it to him. He's carrying an offense (on possibly the #2 NFC team) with no #2 receiver and no consistent running back.

IF those IF/ANDs don't work out, then Peyton or Shaun.

Peyton won it last year, and his numbers aren't as good this year. 2 reasons that people might not vote for him.

Tiki has been amazing. So has Steve Smith. Carson Palmer might deserve it more than Manning because he's done almost as well with a weaker supporting cast and less preseason hype. And Shaun Alexander's stats cannot be ignored. Those are 4 more reasons that people might not vote for him.

Tom Brady. He is the only reason the Patriots have a winning record. He has put that team on his back the entire season and carried them.

Tiki Barber....no question....Eli wouldn't be doing shit without him in the backfield. He brings everything to that team

(Palmer is a close second0

1) Thats stupid. No one had a problem with Favre winning it three years in a row.

2) He sacrificed some of his numbers for wins.

3) He's clearly the best player in the league.

4) Sure he put his rectum in that poor girl's face, but that was years ago and I don't think you should hold that against him when voting for MVP.

Regardless what any of you thought, Alexander got it from the AP today.
