That movie looks really scary - I don't think I'm going to see it. I haven't read any reviews on it yet, though.

silly people. Satanists work every job out there. COS members are known to be doctors, lawyers, actors, etc. Even Sammy Davis Jr was a known Satanist.

Just saw it. HORRIBLE movie. After watching this movie, ive just about lost all hope in bigtime critics reviews of movies. This was supposed to be a great movie, but was seriously one of the worst "horror/scary" movies I have ever seen. Do NOT see it!

well after reading your reasoning, i can see why you didnt like it.

[/sarcasm]

without giving spoilers, at least say why you didnt like it. just saying "hey i didnt like this movie, the critics were wrong!" really serves no purpose at all.

terrible movie. 5 minutes of action. for half of the movie nothing at all happened. i guess they thought it was character development time. didn't work. i wanted all of them to die.

you tell people not to see it, but dont tell em why. dont need a full review, just some sort of insight.

^that was 4 really short sentences and i now have an idea as to why he didnt like it.

surprisingly enough, his was even less descriptive than yours.

do you think your opinion is valued enough to say, "dont go see it", and people will actually heed your warning? assuming the answer is no, then whats the point in even typing it?

I just dont understand why you feel the need to let everyone know how crappy their posts are. Do you really not have anything better to do with you time? I mean, you have graduated and all, right???

i have graduated, but its christmas break, i have spare time.

i think you're the only person i've discussed this format of non-descriptive movie review with, so i'd hesitate to say i'm letting everyone know how crappy their posts are. i'm just a little concerned that you dont see the pointlessness of warning people not to see a movie without listing at least one fault with the movie.

I agree with everyone else. It wasn't that good. My sister had friends who saw it before it was released nationwide and they said it was great. I don't see what was so great about it. The funny thing is that the killer looked like Rosco from Dukes of Hazzard

I wouldnt really classify it as pointless. Id just say it was meant to be more of a quick suggestion than anything else.

I can make a quick suggestion that The Graduate sucks. No one should listen to me if I do.

The point is, your laziness makes your well-intentioned comments less than helpful.

I saw it last night. I agree... I was excited about it, but was a bit disappointed when I left. I think that it was fairly promising throughout, but just didn't deliver in the end. I think that the end could have been more satisfying if the director used a few more liberties with "based on actual events". It's really hard to give an accurate review without spoiling it, though. I looked up the "real story" when I got home and realized that the "real" ending would have been a bit more eerie than the movie ending (and by ending I mean the print that they put on the screen to say what happened next in "real" life). Again...hard to review without spoiiling...and I think that I've confused myself in the process...haha.
Anyway, if you've seen it, go to the movie website, click on the actual events link, and read about the Wolf Creek Killer. I realize that the director said that the flick is a conglomeration of outback slaying cases, but I think he could have ended it more like the Wolf Creek case.... Oh...and this movie needed some serious subtitles at the beginning..ha.

PS...the preview for Pulse made me feel quite a bit oogie... I hope that it delivers

i dunno, i agree that it was a bit drawn out. i think more time is needed in most horror movies to establish characters, but none of them are overly likable. in fact, you barely know much about any of them and 1 of the 3 just seems there for the hell of it.

the characters did feel pretty natural though and the acting was better than a lot of early twenties actors. nothing ever really picked up considering the time it took to get there, thus kinda ruining it.

i might rent it once, but thats it. wouldnt recommend for a movie theater trip.

"YAY…I WATCHED A MOVIE THAT SUCKS! THIS IS YOUR WARNING!

So, you watched the trailer/preview of Wolf Creek and you thought like me “wow, this looks pretty awesome, can’t wait to watch it”. Well, I swear the preview for this movie was for another movie or something because not only were most of the clips not even in the movie, but it also sucked more than a flowbee set to mullet…..nay…. it sucked more than a busy hooker…..nay, this movie sucked more than a black hole.

I’ve never been tricked by a preview this well before. This is nothing more than a very sad Australian Texas Chainsaw Massacre . The only thing that makes this movie even remotely cool is the fact that it is sorta kinda based on actual events.

The actors seemed fresh out of acting school, some of them probably didn’t graduate. The director tried his hardest to be artistic with fast shots and lots of movement, but it seemed like he just filmed it on a boat. I started getting sick. I don’t even know where to begin, but the only thing I am glad about is that I didn’t pay a cent to have to watch this crap.

I could have made a better movie with my cell phone and the neighbors’ pets.

I really thought this movie was going to be awesome, instead i was in awe at the suckage.

There you have it. SKIP THIS MOVIE and burn any copy you find. "

You people ruin movies with your rancid critiquing, I saw this movie today and thought it was a pretty good flick, they put a good amount in character development and the villian has such a native taste to his presence it makes him seem a sick sort of friendly. It is at least 10x better than all other horror movies from 2000-now

im not overly critical but there is no way this movie is 10x better or that there was any REAL character development in it. would i watch it once (though i already have)? yeah sure, why not. i wouldnt rent it again though having seen it.

SPOILER ALERT

while i dont commit it to memory, here's what i recall. them bitches get killed (one almost gets away, but he snipers the guy who tries to help her), the guy victim escapes but they dont ever find a trace of the killer cuz the kids really had no clue where he lived and there were a lot of camps like his. then it starts all over again at the end with a new family.

I can't provide a counter point to the lack of character delv because most of them get killed, but most of the movie is based on them establishing relationships.

it has them driving around doing random stuff, i wouldnt call what they have relationships. i certainly felt no connection to them at all, especially the non-main girl.

doesn't matter if their developing on-screen relationships between each other, ha.

u know there's a lack of character development when u want them all to die.

me and all my friends did at least.

I don't know why you people leave before a movie is over. I mean I assume you paid around $5-7 per ticket. For that, I'm gonna stay no matter how bad it is. I at least want closure, no matter how shitty the movie is. If it was at Blue Ridge, then you'd have a case (or if you didn't have to pay in the first place).

I thought the movie sucked though.
