well, when you don't pass the ball and you complete only 1 completion in the first half of 4+ games...
you're obviously not going to have as many opportunities to throw an interception 12/27/2005 11:48:41 PM |
packboozie All American 17452 Posts user info edit post |
Davis should throw more interceptions considered he average 100 YARDS MORE passing per game. And its a total of 2 more interceptions.

Jay's QB rating is higher so he must be a better quarterback. Or that's what all the Vick haters say about Vick. 12/27/2005 11:51:05 PM |

Haha and yet Stone did NOTHING in that game when given his turn. He fumbled the damn ball and didn't direct the team for shit. Proving once again, Andre Brown is the reason the team started winning.
Jay shoulda had Brown running for him.

How is it lose-lose. The team started winning because of Andre Brown and the defense giving a shit. Jay wasn't given a fair chance. If he finished the season with Brown we would have finished 6-5 as well. Its not like Stone won those games for us. 12/27/2005 11:58:21 PM |

we might reverse roles
[Edited on December 28, 2005 at 12:00 AM. Reason : its lose-lose b/c both QBs are sub-par, though Jay obviously has the edge] 12/27/2005 11:58:58 PM |

I'm not anti-anybody, just pro-truth. The truth is that Davis and Stone both suck ass, and either would have been just as shitty in the first games without quality defensive play and lack of a running game, and either would have seemed to be better in the later games with better defense and a massively better running game. /thread. 12/27/2005 11:59:56 PM |

actually, I belive Jay's stats were better against VT than they were against EKU, so truthfully, VT would be his "stat padding game"
Which I find just ironic, but I guess it all goes to a confidence thing, he had confidence that first game, and after that, his confidence went, and so did the confidence of our offense in him 12/28/2005 12:15:20 AM |

seriously, though.
stone at least not turning over the ball + stone scoring points in the second half (semi clutch, even) >>>
davis not scoring and turning it over for a whole game. 12/28/2005 12:27:50 AM |

to a degree i think Jay's failures can be attributed to coaching and play calling
we had too many options and never found the ones that clicked until later in the season
3 running backs, 2 QBs, off and on defense
I believe we could have won as many games as we did with Jay at the helm when we finally figured out who our RB was, what type of plays to run and had the defense working
people attribute the wins to Stone because he was the big, notable, worth-talking-about-on-tv change that was made
Jay got shafted out of playing and Stone got the opportunity of a lifetime 12/28/2005 12:47:44 AM |
