Yeah I know he's the worst for Chem 101, but what's his deal exactly? I heard he was put on suspension of some kind since he failed too many people, is that true? I'm basically screwed because of my schedule and need to take his section, it's the only one that fits into my schedule. People say he has an accent too - where's he from?

His deal is that his class is terribly boring and useless. He doesn't know how to explain anything, and that chemistry book isn't going to be much help (it's a difficult read, mostly because it's terribly boring for a bloody 100 level chem class). When you take the test you'll probably just go "well, shit, I don't know what I got on it" and your grades will vary from test to test. Most every test will have a curve.

He's a bad teacher, his accent isn't terrible (but a lot of people around here don't seem to know how to cope with a thick accent so if it's a problem, try shifting your schedule as best you can to take another professor's section), he makes the class boring enough and useless enough that most people will skip it, and if you're a chem major you won't learn anything from his class.

For god's sake take another section.
