Let's say I want to save a movie trailer or whatever off of Apple's video section. They're all streaming files, so you can't just save it. Has anybody used some of the stream ripping programs before, and do you have any opinions on any of them? Thanks.

uh you get Quicktime pro, and save it.

Uh I don't think it works that way. At least it didn't used to work that way. I haven't had qt pro in a few years, but back then it treated streaming media exactly the same as regular qt did, which is to say that it doesn't actually save it. I'm looking for the actual video, not just the stream pointer file.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think I am.

you right click the video and it says

Save As: Get Quicktime Pro.

Right. And if it's non-streaming, it saves the video to your hard drive. If it's streaming, as far as I know, it just saves the stream file.

Noen, even with QT Pro, it will just save an ~4K "link file" for streaming content. You have to get something like SnapzPro, but I don't know what the PC equivalent is.
