Iowa vs. Florida Outback bowl today

anyone else see SEVERAL calls that shouldn't have been made against Iowa?

the facemask call on Iowa's receiver when he was drug down by his facemask
the onside kick at the end of the game being "offsides"

I didn't watch the whole game, but the penalty on the kick was total bullshit. Iowa had that one.

Florida false starting and Iowa getting called for "______ cadences" forgot the word, but basically being accused of saying "Blue 15, Blue 15, set go" from the LB position

cusa crews have no more business than sunbelt crew officiating big 10 games. theres got to be enough acc sec bigeast pac10 big10 big12 crews to go around

^

1.) After the fact, it was determined the Sun Belt refs had called the play correctly.

2.) C-USA refs are just as good as ACC refs.

VT had some bullshit calls....there were two pass interference calls in a row against Louiseville....the first was legit....the second was terrbile...the guy never even touched him...the VT reciever just ran into him and they called interference

^^im not even talking about "the play" im talking mainly about the 2 timeouts carr had to waste because sunbelt officials didnt know how to review

^That's not their fault--the Sun Belt refs have nothing to do with the reviews. It's also not their fault that timeouts had to be burned before the guy in the booth bothered to review it.

I don't think the current rules even specify whether you can return a timeout in that situation. It's not like the NFL system.

those replays shouldn't have had to happen, the calls were plainly obvious and the refs screwed them up...

it's just that simple, the sunbelt refs were perhaps the only refs i've seen WORSE than the acc refs (who shouldn't be doing bowl games either)

Michigan's bowl was pretty bad too. Obvious pass interference no-call that was pretty much the reason michigan lost. plus the entire nebraska team running on the field early.

Yeah, the second was terrible but I chalked it up as a result of karma from the terrible pass interference called against VT just minutes earlier. That one was just as bad. They cancelled each other out.

There was a pretty blatant offsides in the ND/Ohio St. game. One of the Ohio St. players was a good 3 feet across the line of scrimmage before the ball was snapped. No call.

?

even if that was supposed to be a anti-social joke, you don't have to get out to watch a game

the point was, "is it REALLY the most one-sided officiated game ever"? or were there just some bad calls made?

im sure that was definately the worse one ever...those referees should be banned for life. they made a mistake. how dare they.
