i thought all mazda/toyota/datsun trucks were compact until the last year or soo with the titan and t100 and whatnot

The graph lists 1-ton as having the highest number of deaths per million, the 'smaller' duty trucks fall in line right after it.

I have always felt safer in my truck than my car. This is kinda crazy.

nooo eraser u misread the graph... at the bottom it says that the death in that chart are caused by 1 ton trucks more than any other that was catagorized by what the driver who hit another vehicle side on was driving... It should make you feel safer in your truck because u kill more people driving one.

I'm not sure about the Tacomas or mazda, datsun, or nissan (yeah i know nissan used to be datsun), but the old Yota pickups (94.5 and older) while compact trucks, were actually 3/4 ton trucks, meaning their payload rating was 3/4 ton. just a FYI.

I think what he means by 1 ton Nissans, etc... are those with the dual rear wheels. A lot of the Toyota ones were used as Uhaul trucks
