He got onto the fridge, got into a bread package, tore it up.... there was bread all over the top of the fridge and all over the floor.... ate a hole in my cereal box.... chewed up the plastic that was on top of my muffins (those were on the stove, but I've left stuff like that before with no problem)and ate some of the muffins too.... he also trashed my desk and got into some other things.... his favorite thing is to chew on things... And I was home all last night and most of the day before, so I don't know what has gotten in to him. He will do stuff like this randomly, but last night I think tops all the other times. And I'm positive he didn't get help from the dogs because they were snuggled under the covers with me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep him from being so psycho? Should i Just start letting him outside so that he can take it out on trees and birds? 1/6/2006 11:17:57 AM |

Sounds like he's ready to mate. My boy cat got all weird like that when he wanted to go mate-until we got him the snip-snip! 1/6/2006 12:30:38 PM |

Then you'll probably have a shitty pet. They need boundaries defined early or its gonna be hell.1/6/2006 12:56:14 PM |

Years ago, my aunt had a cat that would continuously jump on our counters while we were asleep. Before my mom went to sleep one night, she put two-sided tape all over the counters. It pissed my aunt off, and it REALLY pissed the cat off, but it never jumped up on the counters again. 1/6/2006 3:51:01 PM |

the other morning I woke up and my cats had found some styrofoam somewhere and clawed it up all over my kitchen and living room. Literally, there was not an inch of my carpet not covered in the shit. I still wonder where they found it... 1/6/2006 10:27:10 PM |

I came home from work yesterday and found my clean laundry all over my room. Apparently one of my cats had opened my stackable drawers in my closet, knocked it off and upside down, and carried my underwear around my room 1/6/2006 10:45:09 PM |

Have you had your cat fixed? That can have a lot to do with it. My male cat (who has been fixed) has never been outside and he has never done anything like that before. I doubt that not going outside is the problem, but I am no expert. Maybe you could think about having him fixed, if you are comfortable with that (especially if you intend on letting him outside). I have heard that it really makes a difference in their behavior as well as possibly helping them live longer. 1/7/2006 11:50:16 AM |

he's been fixed since he was 9 weeks old... that's not the problem either I don't believe in allowing the possibility of animal reproduction when there is a pet overpopulation... and males especially need to be fixed because I am not having them spray down my house. 1/8/2006 12:52:37 AM |
