This is worse news than Mario leaving...cause we knew he was gone.

maybe Brandon Spikes will put us higher on his list with a chance to play right away.

he's been told he'll be going in the 3-4 round. Can't blame him, his status won't raise next year with us(w/o mario and manny).

maybe our next lb can actually make plays in the passing game and heaven forbid....intercept a ball. we have good tackles and dbs. it is possible our d will suck ass but it is also possible it will be good. it will liekly be average. i feel if we can get brent our offense will be really good. so we will have another 6-5 season at worst

is it just me or do ncstate players go pro early wehn they clearly arent ready more than any other school

7-5 winning a bowl. You think we will do that next year? I have Cash that says we go 5-6 or worse.

Why is he doing this though? He could have potentially been All-ACC next season and pushed his draft stock higher. Right now he's had one breakout season, he should have stayed and had 2 solid seasons under his belt. There are too many question marks around him now for some team to waste a decent pick on him. He's looking at 5th round or higher.

I'm sure he has his reasons, but he could have potentially been a 3rd rounder with another All-ACC performance. :-/ Gonna miss him, I was a big fan of him and Hoyte.

^ I think it's mostly personal reasons (Family needing money from what everyone has said)

Plus think about it... with Mario and Manny gone, D's are going to key on him and make him the focus of blocking schemes. I really can't say it's all that bad of a decision. I compare it to Sean May. Didn't want to leave... but he really had to.

According to a mod on Packpride, he's projected around rounds 3-4 (from speaking with a scout.... who he also said Mario would be the first defensive player taken). Might as well go, I bet his stock would only drop

will all be good returners on d. im sure we can find a few guys to step up and a few guys to step in and maybe even have some breakout young linebacker than can actually make plays instead of just tackles. the only reason our d wont be great again is because were losing the ends but it all starts upfront and we still have great defensive tackles

be optimistic. our d will be good and hopefully our o will be better. like i said if we can develop a passing game our o will be really good. i think the oline will be much imporved next year also

edit: 7-5 is good but its very misleading. in reality we only won 3 acc games and eku mtsu usf somiss are easy wins almost any year

^ My question is how will this affect McCargo?

Losing other playmakers will only make him realize how much talent is leaving (And how much focus he'll get next year)

i hope ur just reffereing to manny and mario. tulloch was not a play maker. the only play i recall him making was tipping a ball to clemson so they could take it to the house. he had rock hands and all he did was make tackles. he was a good tackler but any decent linebacker in his spot couldve done the same. he was just an average linebacker.

i dont know about our des now? does anybody? i think i remember hearing on here we have another mario type recruit that redshirted this year

^ you must have forgotten about his 134 tackles, good for 12th in the nation. You must have also forgotten when he ran back an interception for a td against MTSU. You probably missed the carolina game when he had 19 tackles, oh and were u at the bowl game when he had 15 tackles, 3 sacks, a forced fumble and recovery. Yea ur right, just an average linebacker with stone hands, who is very slow

Posluszny got the Bednarik(sp?) award and he is 25th on the list
D'Qwell got a lot more press, but that probably has a lot to do with him being a loud-mouth nigger.
Also notice Tulloch is ahead of A.J. Hawk.

i dont understand how aj hawk is so far down that list of LBs...seeing how he had other linebackers possibly as good as him playing at the same time on his team, and the fact that i think hes an outside linebacker, for him to get that many tackles on a good defense would make me think he should be higher on that list(top 5)

also, a lot of those linebackers on that list played on some pretty poor offensive teams(although there are real good LBs on this list), many of these guys can have their tackles stats inflated by the fact that they are constantly on D and getting more chances to rack up tackles...i think that may be part of the case with tulloch, seeing how we were on D all the time...but i suppose getting more tackles and having more playing time could lead to him getting better

This is the same conversation we had about Adrian Wilson about 5 years ago. He ended up in going in the middle of the second round and now is one of the top safeties in the NFL. You can't fault Tulloch. Best of luck to him. We will miss him though.
