I like how we turned it over coming out of a time out EVERY TIME after the like 5 min mark

The question is, why cant herb ever keep a lead vs UNC. I think he chokes worse than evtimov does. Thats another thing. In the close games, why does it seem like the nail in the coffin is always evtimov making a stupid fucking pass

I think the problem today was UNC's defense. They played tight D and no one on ncsu could take anyone off the dribble and no one ever bothered to make a ball fake and then make a pass which would have led to lay-ups and better shots since UNC was overplaying so much on D. However, I do agree that Herb's game management is usually poor which is why i have never been a fan of him.

We actually played decent on offense. UNC just made a lot of lucky shots and shot well. This was an aberration for UNC and unfortunately we had to be playing them. I still have high hopes for our basketball team and I think this UNC team will fall apart on the road.

i didn't see the last 10 minutes or so, but did herb play atsur and bethel at the same time? breaking presses is a lot easier with 2 competent ball handlers instead of just one, unless your name is raymond felton or tj ford

we had the horses to succeed in an end game situation, today. I have no doubt that chris wright and whover will be whipped into choking chokers in short order. Our players never have keen basketball sense or guts to step up in a pressure situation.

It's a program problem, not an individual problem. i still can't get over guys catching the ball 2 feet from the basket and fading away.

^don't even mention atsur. he played like shit -- thought he was 6 inches taller, thought he had a vertical leap that was 2 feet higher, and thought was black. He forgot to play defense, too.

Actually the line was UNC by 2.5 I believe.

You know this stuff gets really old. We lose one game on the road to a ranked rival team and ppl go crazy. I love how ppl who are NEVER in sports talk at all come in here and act like they know exactly what we should do about our basketball coach.

I won't deny that. Roy is a superior coach to Herb right now.

All I gotta say is, Herb better get his team better mentally prepared for every game from now on. It seemed like we played our game for the first three minutes and then tried to run with UNC. Our players need to know that we're not a running team, we're a passing team. It is vital against gunning offenses to run our halfcourt offense just to disrupt the tempo of the game. In a game like yesterday, I missed having a floor leader like Hodge who could get on everyone's case and get them to get back into the offense.
