Do not come in here and complain if you don't have a 1280 x 960 monitor.

Tired of making a new thread everytime a new car is released or a concept is shown, this is going to be my perpetual thread, showcasing new releases, concept cars, pre-production debuts, and just some wild unique cars.

I wanted to make this thread in September/October (Frankfurt, Tokyo, Essen Motor Shows), but due to my job, was unable to. But now, there are two motor shows going on in the US, so I have to make this thread.

Needless to say, this thread will be heavy with pictures, the biggest ones being 1280 x 960, but I will try to restrict myself to 1024 x 768. Anybody is welcome to post debuts as they see fit. I know there are 2 others in this forum who post new car debuts.

I actually started a thread like this 2-3 years ago, but it died out, and doesn't show up in search as well for some reason. But the rest of my new car threads can be found here:

I will start off today with:

2006 Lamborghini Miura Concept

There is no engine, and no drivetrain. It was just released on the 40th anniversary of the original Miura. If they build it, it will be the Enzo-fighter by Lambo.

Funny (about Leno):

upon initial glance that side shot makes me think ford gt. but in looking at it more than once you can tell the differences between the two.

Chrysler Imperial Concept

This is is really mind-blowing.

Just as the 300C is compared with Bentleys a lot (and dubbed the "baby Bentley"), this Imperial will take Chrysler into Rolls Royce Phantom direction (at least look-wise, and quite a bit substance-wise as well).

I would say it looks as good, if not better from some aspects, than the RR Phantom!

Designers also paid considerable attention to handcrafted components like the sculptured instrument panel with large dual gauges, coved ceiling, and the floating oval armrests in the doors, all bathed in warm light."










Dodge Challenger Concept

It looks just like a modern version of the miura. IMO its lost some of its beauty in the transition, at least up front. With miura headlights, the shape of that grill is almost comical.

they report on shit crazy fast and have INCREDIBLE amounts of high resolution pictures.

Replacement for 575M Maranello

2006 Ferrari 599 GTB

Love the door handles! DEFINITELY an improvement over the Maranello. Although I wish the back lights were the traditional twins... these singles make it look a bit... don't know, empty?

I wish Ferrari would give consistent names to their different models:

F430
612 Scaglietti
599 GTB
Enzo

All have a different format.

Up until recent replacements, the names were consistent: 360 Modena, 575 Maranello, 612
Scaglietti.

anyway, peoples, obvious fucking question:

Challenger

OR

Camaro

???

Camaro definitely looks meaner from front, side, and back. Also looks more modern, and not as retro. Challenger looks more retro. I don't know which one to choose if I had to, pretty tough!

i like the camaro front but the challenger rear

the G35 is sweet. I like the headlight cues taken from Nissan S15 Silvia those concept seats are sweet as well

2006 Mazda Kabura Concept

Pay careful attention to the number of doors on each side, and the seating arrangement. If you can't see it, read this first:

the *2+1 seating is an interesting concept heh

as for the car, I dont really like the way the front fenders are flared (like RX8) though I made a similar design back in industrial design studio

What's the rear jump seat?
