Was moving my computer around today. After I was finished, I reconnected everything, powered the box up, and it booted to my backup HD. I tried booting to the main drive, and it just gave me a disk read error.

Figuring that there might have been a problem with the installation, or something had become corrupt, I tried to reinstall XP. It copies all the files over, and then goes through the first reboot process, but once it reboots it acts like it hasn't done anything yet. All it tries to do is start the install over again.

Does this sound like a hardware issue now? Is there a utility or anything that I can get to check?
