Sometimes girls just "gets hot". I had this one friend all throughout high school who was never really anything special to look at. Then right about the time we all graduated, something happened and all of the sudden she became just superhot, but none of our guy friends (myself included) really seemed to notice. It was only after we came to college and saw everyone else drooling over her that we realized what a hottie she was. It's like all those supermodels that swear they were ugly and unpopular in high school.

Long story short: it can happen.
