automatic, few times wouldn't go in reverse from park and when it did it jumped a lot, trouble switching gears once it starts going +25, engine will just rev but won't catch the higher gear... (if that's a correct way to describe it)
been few times be driving at normal speed and it won't accelerate at all and i have to pull over and restart the engine

Sounds like a line pressure issue to me.

I tell you what...give Rex @ Happy Jap's in Cary a call. 467-2884. He doesn't do core automatic tranny work, but he sees enough of these things that he might recognize a trend.
And yeah, I would call the dealer too. Talk to the folks in the service department and see what kind of light they can shed on it, and if there are any factory TSB's or recalls on it. If they give you the "I'm sorry, but you'll have to bring it in. We don't give that kind of information out over the phone" then start calling trans shops.
