Saw the sneak preview on Saturday. Was not impressed at all. Some of my favorite movies of all time are these sentimental sports movies... hoosiers, rudy, remember the titans. This movie isn't even in the same ballpark acting/dialoguewise. Plus, the ending pissed me off royally.

When he decided to play all black players in the finals... wtf? That is just as stupid as the other coaches only playing white guys in the games. I get that he was just trying to make a point, but he just slapped the white players in the face and told them that all their hardwork throughout the season was worthless and that they wouldn't get to enjoy the results of the work they put in.

it's a historical piece (of course, some things had to be changed)...

I understand that it was based on a true story and that is what actually happened. Trust me, the movie was mediocre for alot of reasons besides that. About that actual happening, the fact that it happened was more disturbing than that the movie portrayed it. I am sure J_Hova will enlighten me about how racist I am though.

adolph rupp, a notorious white supremacist, starts 5 white guys against Texas Western, who has an all-black starting 5. Texas Western wins and makes Rupp's claims look silly, and makes history in the process.

saw this movie last night and the ending really pissed me off. They made Adolph Rupp out to be a complete dumbass. Look, just because he didnt play black players doesnt mean he was a clueless person. He was the winningist coach of all time until Dean Smith. I think that he wouldve known what to tell his players at that timeout and im sure he did tell him. Dont make one of the best coaches of all time look like an idiot because he didnt want black players.

I really enjoyed the movie. I'm not going to say that it'll win all the awards, but it's based on a true story that actually happened.

Rupp was a good coach, but like every coach, he had his shortcomings. Not coaching black players was his.

I loved Josh Lucas in it
