I was wondering if anyone knew of any jobs relating to a psychology major. I'm looking for a new job to replace the three years I've spent at Wal-Mart. I'm looking for something around 9/10ish an hour, and that will deal with my limited availability. I'm limited to weekends, and 4-11 on Wednesday’s due to school. Thanks for the help, Cliff
After reading a couple of post in the lounge, I decided I need to specify that I do not have a BA in psychology. I am currently an undergrad. If this even makes a difference.

If you are interested in working in human service after graduation, I would highly recommend work as a habilitation technician (there are several variations of the job title, but that one is most common). This is where you would work one-on-one with a child or adult with some kind of developmental disability so that they can live more independenly. Each client would have their own treatment goals and plan that you would follow, etc.
Great way to get some experience, and typcially pays between $9-11 per hour depending upon experience. There will multiple companies in the area, since it is a contracted service. PM me if you are interested, and I'll help you come up with some company names in the area. 1/11/2006 6:43:39 PM |

whaaaaaaaaat? was that to me, b/c you just pointed to yourself :p
i know these are individual cases...i know someone who does that. i suggested dix for a reason - they always need people, it pays relatively well, and 3rd shift is a godsend if you can manage your time well (start your day there at midnight, and end it with classes) 1/11/2006 7:07:07 PM |
