How long do grade change requests take once they are submitted to show up on my transcript? Its been a few weeks since my professor did it and it still hasn't changed.

again with the grade change?

ok ppls, here is the process:

Step 1
professor decides to make a change
professor visits departmental office to obtain form
professor completes form
professor turns it in to departmental secretary

Step 2
departmental secretary hands it over to department head
department head signs form
department head gives back to secretary
departmental secretary puts form in campus mail (ps. campus mail doesn't run on holidays or sat/sun)

Step 3
registration and records receives form
registration and records reviews form
registration and records enters new data into system (unless the form is incorrect then it goes back to step 2 and possibly step 1)

Step 4
student can view data entered into system 24hrs after it is entered
student prospers from GPA increase

given that 3 different people have to "touch" the form and it goes through campus mail ...

i wouldn't expect a grade change to take less than a week or so unless the professor can make the department head sign it infront of him and then walk it over to R&R himself.

and don't forget, during semester/holiday breaks *especially the one between fall/spring* most professors and departments heads are not on campus everyday

i know its hard not to blame us over here at R&R, but honestly we are pretty efficient when it comes to processing forms *it's what we do*

^^ I think we should make that an FAQ in the system- don't you? That one shows up all the time. Great explanation.

I have another question about grade changes. I technically graduated in december but my teacher had entered the wrong grade and we didnt figure things out until just recently. What is the cut off date for grade changes in order for me to recieve my diploma??

a student can be cleared for graduation at anytime. has the grade change been made yet?

if so, contact your department to make sure that you have been cleared for graduation in fall 2005. they will notify the graduation coordinator if your name needs to be added to the list.

students get cleared late all the time due to errors.

if not, have him do the grade change and notify the department about the situation.
