"Last summer, while very few people were paying attention, the NCAA men's basketball committee changed one of the rules that govern how it brackets the NCAA tournament. Whereas in the past two teams from the same conference could not play until a regional final, this year, for the first time, they may face each other as early as the second round."

So it's just there for conferences with more than 8 bids?

i think it just SUPPOSEDLY gievs them some leeway in trying to set the brackets up the most fairly since they dont have to worry about "well they should be a 7 seed and they should be a 9 seed but they're in the same conference so lets re-do the bracket"

Haha yeah but how many will get in? I say 9. UConn, Cuse, Nova, Pitt, Louisville, WVU, Cincy will prolly get in. Marquette, GTown, ND, and Rutgers will be on the bubble. Depaul, Seton Hall, USF, Providence, St. Johns better win the tournament.
