I want to get the inside of my accord really squeaky clean. The carpets just need vaccuuming (sp?), but I want to get the leather seats really clean (i've been using Meguiars??, and it works ok) but I also need recs on something for the dash and trim, it's that soft, matte vinyl/leather trim so greasy-looking Armour-All is not an option.
Thanks! 1/13/2006 11:09:04 AM |

For the leather, I use Lexol. For dash and trim, a damp cloth.] 1/13/2006 11:10:07 AM |

ive heard lots of good things about leatherique, but its not cheap and the application is pretty involved (relatively speaking) 1/13/2006 11:14:38 AM |

If the seats are really dirty, I normally go with Meg's APC diluted with water 1:10. Then I'll go with Poorboy's Leather Stuff.. mild cleaners and conditioners. Leaves a little slickness and a little shine.
For dash a trim, try Meg's Quik Interior Detailor.. leaves a nice matte finish that doesn't feel oily at all. You can also use this on leather/ vinyl seats... 1/13/2006 11:16:30 AM |

My cloth seat is a little stained/discolored... kinda dark (it's blue). What could I use to get that out? I sat in the seat wearing soaking wet clothes and it hasn't looked the same since... 1/13/2006 4:38:06 PM |

Thanks for the good tips! Just a lil update, for a quick clean up I used those lemon scented wipes you can get for kitchen counter clean ups (no bleach) and it did a REALLY good job on the leather cleaning up the dirt, moisture, etc. that gets in the wrinkles and it did a pretty good job on the dash too, doesn't do a thing for picking up lint/little pieces of dust/dirt, etc. but definitely surprised me in how well it did for a quick clean up. 1/13/2006 6:10:26 PM |
