What courses are we allowed to take as credit only (other than PE)? Or is PE the only thing? 1/16/2006 1:33:13 PM |

for the 201 level foriegn language class (which is what CHASS requires I think) you can't do credit only, but lower level language classes you can.
i've done a few credit only classes for my free electives too. 1/16/2006 2:11:58 PM |

12 hours of free electives, PE classes, FL 101 and 102, and courses that would fall into non-degree or additional courses on your degree audit (unless they are being used for something else such as a minor or double major). 1/16/2006 2:30:33 PM |

my major doesn't have any free electives and i already had 3 years of spanish and 4 of latin before i came here so i didn't need to take any language..
so for me, pretty much PE. that kinda sucks because I don't want to get a grade in my literature class. i'll probably get like a C. (do you need a C to pass humanities electives or is a D adequate?) 1/16/2006 2:51:11 PM |

look on your degree audit. If there is a 0 in the column to the right that says Max D allowed "0" then you have to have a C- or better. If there is no 0 (which I doubt there is given what you have said about your major so far), then you can scoot by with D. try to do as well as you can, however, to avoid pulling down your overall GPA. 1/16/2006 8:17:07 PM |
