I'm lookin for a KA24DE engine for my 240sx. I want to turbo the stock engine and mine is too high mileage. 60,000 miles or less is prefered. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one for sell please contact me. IM at chris6218.

Their project cars are whatever Joel owns at the current time. Their engines are top notch, though.

what did you expect? is a performance machine shop, not a bolt on parts supplier or "tuner" shop.

i dunno... a little passion @least... i mean its ok if its junk now

i mean anything with a little passion

i mean the one cool car i guess they're planning to drag race?
i don't see any other reason to plan to put an auto in a 240...
i dunno

sorry to offend i'm sure they do good work most of the good o'le boy shops do and i didn't realize the were just a machine shop for the most part.

the 82 ford pickup was his dads old truck i think, the d50 was something he got for free i think, and the nissan rollers accumulate when you deal with nissan engines on the regular.

Do a compression test. If it looks decent a smaller turbo (like a t25/28) on relativley low boost such as 7 (which was stock boost on the SR) to 10 Psi should be fine. Chances on finding a low mileage KADE are slim.

Also as Jbaz said, ask on carolinanissans.com

If you really want a lower mileage for a turbo application, I suggest that you follow the bandwagon and do a SR20DET swap.

didn't the KA come in like a million applications though? Surely there should be one somewhere from a wrecked Altima or pickup truck

Yea. They had the KA24DE in the frontier right up until this most model. Same with the altima.

the altimas is Front wheel drive tho...might be kinda a bitch to swap it in.

try carolinanissans.com
240sxforums.com
club240.com
freshalloy.com
240sx.org
zilvia.net

find someone who is doing an engine swap and try to get their old KA off of them. Shouldn't be too hard to find one but make sure its OBDII
