I formatted my computer and then installed all the drivers that I had. The only problem is that I am not getting any sound. I have a dimension 4600 and for sound, it says that I have Integrated 5.1 channel audio. In device manager, under other devices, I have Multimedia audio controller with a yellow question mark. I cant seem to update this driver, and if this is what I need, do you know where I can get it. Also, under sounds, video, and game controllers, I have Unimodem Half-duplex audio device that says it is installed and working properly. Im not sure what needs to be updated and where I can download it to do so. Please help.

check the cd that came with your computer.

like I said....I had already installed all the drivers that I had. I had 2 resources cds and tried to update from both of them and got nothing.

goto support.dell.com

and download drivers.

Also, I opened the computer, and there is no actual sound card, so I have an onboard sound card and am unsure of what kind it is.

Thanks, I got it now. I couldnt find it when i just did a search on dell.com, but i went through it with the support.dell.com and it works.
