semi-related question: do you think apple/itunes will ever come out with a monthly subscription service like rhapsody and yahoo? 1/21/2006 12:31:01 AM |
paintballer Veteran 195 Posts user info edit post |
no, none of those other subscription services works with IPODS, and as long as jobs has his hands on 80% of the portable player market, and can charge people for every single song they have on their ipods then (legally) then there is no point in doing that imo. 1/21/2006 12:39:50 AM |

suggestions for Linux use? I'm using Rhythmbox but it won't let me change the ID3 tags on mp3's which is annoying. Also, I have a lot of MP3's with slight variations in the artist or album names so they get recognized as different artists or albums. In WMP I could drag one artist name and drop it on another and it would update all the files to whatever I dropped them on. Something like that would be helpful. 1/21/2006 2:59:54 AM |

Rhythmbox sucks. Which desktop environment are you using? I assume since you are using Rhythmbox, you must be using Gnome but I could be wrong. Use amarok, you can check it out in the link I posted earlier. Version 1.3.8 just came out. It is the BEST audio player in existence. You can edit ID3 tags and anything else you can imagine. I love it, and nothing else on any other OS can match it, not even iTunes.
