how does one go about looking for something like this? it's a vast area to begin looking into. i just wanted to know if there are any pro-strategists out there that could lend some advice about landing a job in LA or new york or wherever doing film production (and being paid more than nothing for their services).

thanks.

I know a guy that graduated from App State and now directs stuff for Warner brothers in LA. He did a lot of stuff on his own so he had something to show when going to apply for jobs. But he basically went out to film festivals and events to meet people. There is an entertainment jobs website that might be a good place to start.
