So I managed to spill some bleach on the carpet and not notice it for a looong time...well, now a square foot of the carpet has disinigrated into almost nothing
so how exactly do i go about fixing this? Do I call a carpet company to "match" the carpet? Do I need to replace the whole carpet or just that foot? Does anyone know how much it will cost roughly? 1/25/2006 2:52:50 PM |

I'm not sure how much it will cost...it'll depend on how big the place is. Call a carpet company, they should be able to patch your carpet instead of replacing all of it 1/25/2006 3:03:23 PM |

You should be able to match the carpet and just replace a piece. You will go about 6'' past where the carpet is messed up and just cut out the old section and put in the new section. I don't know what it would cost to have it done. I don't know if you have any extra carpet from the original install. In my house in Charlotte, we did it ourselves with the leftover from when we moved in. For someone to do it, $200 sounds high, but could be right. 1/25/2006 3:06:26 PM |
