is there a way to take songs from itunes and put them on a regular mp3 player, im sure its simple, but i cant figure it out

A "regular" mp3 player? Ha!

It depends on the mp3 player. If it's one that you just copy the file to the directory structure, then you should just be able to drag.

Otherwise, you will have to use whatever music management program the other player uses, and have it share a directory with iTunes.

iTunes though has an extensible interface so that other players should be able to sync like the iPod (Rio use to use it). I don't know why they don't do that.

your itunes mp3s are in a library directory. go to edit -> preferences, choose the advanced tab. You'll see a box that says "itunes music folder location"

that's the folder your mp3s are in
