I haven't used a mouse for gaming in 7 years - I got hooked on trackballs and have been using my Logitech Trackman Marble+ since 1999 1/28/2006 1:42:51 PM |

I just bought a new mouse for work, a logitech MX610. I'm using it with a powerbook, and so far so good. I'm not gaming with it, so don't know how good it would be there.
I had to buy my own mouse for work because I lost my temper and in a fit of rage screamed some permutation of 'shit,' 'fuck,' 'goddamn,' and 'motherfucker,' and threw my old one at the wall as hard as i could, shattering it. The girl who sits in the cube next to me is now terrified of me.
I felt better afterwards, tho... 1/28/2006 1:48:21 PM |

mx510 (out of production, but still availible at places like tiger-direct) is fucking awesome, g5 is nice but too much money, and my cordless click! from logitech gets basically forever's worth of battery life.
mx518's look similar to 510, but with some different extra buttons.

^ only thing I don't like about razer mice, other than their prices, is that they're not contoured for right handers. 1/28/2006 2:59:43 PM |

hahhahahahhaahahah dude, you don't know how hard you hit the nail on the head.
There was a combination of things that was building up, but what put me over the edge was, in fact, an Oracle database disconnect that caused me to lose a fair amount of work.1/28/2006 3:00:00 PM |

scud: I've got an oracle install on a laptop for a company I'm doing some consulting for, and I do it the same way, with a VMWare image.
Haven't had to reimage it lately though. 1/28/2006 3:49:21 PM |
