I'm sorry, but Cremins has to be one of the dumbest announcers in the history of athletics. If you can't see that, then you too are an idiot.

I feel slightly dumber after listening to him call a game. Almost all of his comments completely contradict what just happened in the game. Atsur just misses his 2nd three in a row..."You can't leave him open like that!" We know that Bobby, but you don't say that after his misses the damn shot, you say it after he makes it. Come up with something else, or don't say something dumb.

I have to agree with this thread, Cremins = suck.

P.S. My mom commented after the game that she thought he'd be a better announcer for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy then for basketball. That made me smile.

Cremmins is nice

But they're both total retards.

Fire them both.

Cliff Ellis, former coach at Clemson, is calling the Miami/FSU game. Hite has been going off, and Ellis referred to him in a play as "Lethal Weapon 3, you're seeing it here folks." I thought, no I saw that in back in the early 90's.

I endorse this thread 100%. I dont see how a station in the south can have a commentator who's voice is as northern as Cremmins' is. I usually am very good with deciphering northern babbling, and their (yankees) accents dont get to me very often, but Cremmins was over the top today. I really cant stand that guy

I actually don't mind Cremins that much. He loves the Pack and how our team plays. The bottom line though is that the best color commentators always come from originally doing radio were you actually have to be insightful and descriptive.

Cremmins is a terrible announcer. And yesterday if I had to hear one more time how we should feel for this guy (Cliff Hammonds) while he was on the line, every single time he was on the line, I was going to explode. No more than 20 minutes before Cremmins spoke the truth by saying you get better at free throws with PRACTICE yet we should all feel sorry for Cliff. Also every minute a reference to how much more Clemson NEEDED this win more than State and how great Shawon Robinson, a Raleigh native, was and how he was showing the pack by scoring his 1000th point against them. Please. Cremmins is one of the worst, he still is no Dick Vitale (who is the most obnoxious and slurps DUKE and Carolina over any team in the US or Brad Daugherty (who was straight out the worst and most bias annoucer), but Cremmins is close.

I don't care about Cremmins' accent or his tendency to favor the other team, or his verbal jacking off of Shawan Robinson last night. What bother's me about Cremmins is that he is a fucking idiot. As I was growing up watching ACC basketball he was in his last year's at GT. I heard people talk about how he was a terrible bench coach....which makes complete sense now because I see how dumb he is. I can't imagine this guy coming up with a play that works or making good game time decisions.

He got by at GT on his stellar recruiting (Stephon Marbury, Travis Best, Kenny Anderson, Mark Price, Nick Anderson, etc.). He is an idiot who should never ever ever have a microphone put in front of his face. I don't like Packer or Vitale, but at least they know what the hell they are talking about.

The two worst college announcers have to be Tim Brando and Billy Packer. When the two of them are calling the game together, I mute the TV and turn on the radio. They both have already decided who they'll pull for in the game, and then call it from that perspective. It is the most horrible combination of announcers in the history of the media.

Cremins isn't usually so bad, but yesterday he was particularly "Bill Walton-esque". He must have forgotten his meds....

I don't mind him... except when he calls a Duke game. Look, we all know Redick is very good (someone else said this earlier) but do we need to hear how 'special' he is when he hits a wide open 8 footer?? Do we need to hear how well he handles his hard life on the road whenever he misses a FT? Do we need to hear 'he is the best shooter in NCAA history' every waking second of every game? Fuck no we don't. He is more nauseating then Dick Vitale at this point since Dick can at least pull JJs dick out of his ass for a few seconds to criticize a bad shot or pass he makes.
