while i'm at home i have to use this stupid AOL broadband and i don't want to use their browser

is there a small little program that can just send AOL whatever info they need to connect me to the internet without having to use their giant fucking browser?

you can use their browser to log-in, then you can use your browser of choice.
.... or maybe that only works with AOL Dial-up?

If you have broadband, why are you opening AOL. WHen my house had cable, I would simply open Firefox (this was before I became enlightened) and was on my way.

because you still have to "sign-on" with aol, broadband or not. after you sign in to it opens that monstorosity of a browser and if you close that window you sign out of aol

i'm guessing your pc is VERY old then bigman?

but in large terms, i'm sure the answer to your question is no. i'm pretty sure there is no little application that can sign you in to aol. you have to use their shit. which begs the question why do you have to use their shit? around here aol broadband is supplied by time warner cable, why not just remove the aol layer?

can you not just set the cable modem or your router to log into aol for you?

you can keep your service but swith to timewarner as your primary provider and make aol your secondary provider, the benefit is you'll have always on internet with twc

but the downside is aol has a better dial up access, for unlimited up to 2 or three dial up users at the same time
