does anyone have a link to change window manager under linux on the unity machines? not from kde or gnome, but something else like windowmaker, etc. i know they're there under /afs/bp.contrib/wm/bin. I've followed some different sites that I've seen around ncsu's pages but can't seem to make this stuff work.

if anyone has it going, i'd love to hear from you.

so i got it to work...finally.

when i was trying to start window maker i was getting errors that a certain library wasn't available. so (with the help of a good friend) figured out that adding the directory /afs/bp/contrib/wm/lib to my path was the key.

from there in my .xinitrc file it was a simple exec /afs/bp/contrib/wm/bin/wmaker and booting with the stock ncsu should do it.
