this thing is pretty good.... the hp isn't right cause if you richen up the mixture the hp keeps going up but if you stay around 13.3 its pretty close also i have no idea what factors they uses for heads/cams uses volumetric efficiency. basically what it does well is help you size a turbo and injectors for a turbo project. it has most major turbo maps built in and will plot out where your engine will be sitting in the efficiency range of the turbo with a red dot on the map.

Some people don't build cars others have allready built many times before. weird strokers,v10s,rebuild n/a cars for turbos... that sort of thing.
and don't take that as a bash cause i honestly like the jetta frontend swap & stuff. but i allready knew how to size a turbo, this just takes about 5-10 formulas and combines them the math is right etc.
i'm planning on doing my own thing when i graduate with an older car and right now i'm gathering info so when i do design a turbo system for whatever i end up working on it won't be a blind thing just saying this turbo is good for x horsepower and then ending up with some rediculess pressure ratio and a whole lot of heat or ending up with a turbo that takes years to spool. 1/31/2006 11:06:28 PM |
