The Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue is always needing fosters.

Email received today:

Three Goldens Looking for fosters. Pictures available upon request of
anyof the three. We need fosters for these guys over the next week or so.
Please let me know if you would consider fostering one of these
Goldens. Allare purebred.


The attached pics are of Algernon. He was pulled today from the Wayne
Co. Shelter in Goldsboro.


Algernon is:

* A stray
*About 2-3 yrs. old
*Unneutered
*HW+
*Has hook worms, expect this will be quickly cleared up, has been
treated at Falls
*Very nice disposition
*Handsome fellow

He is currently at Falls. He will start HW treatment tomorrow, Weds.
and will be ready to go to a foster on Friday. He will be neutered at some
point in the future.


Female golden and 1 5-6 week old pup:

Mom is:
*About 2-3 yrs old, looks younger but has some tartar on teeth
*Obviously not spayed
*HW status, vaccines unknown
*Nice dog
Pup is:
*about 5-6 wks or so
*Black
*not sure of gender or anything else
*appears healthy otherwise unknown health status

Third Dog

*Male, neutered *HW-*About 3 yrs. old, 84 lbs.

* Has dark colored cyst on eyelid that is increasing in size, needs to
be removed
*Stray, found by vet tech who advertised him > a week, without response
from owners. Has had him for several weeks and had him neutered and brought
up to date with vet care. She was planning to place this dog with
adopters on her own but had to abandon the effort d/t personal family problems
Beautiful red boy.

Must go through application process to be an approved foster home. I know they do require a fenced in yard.
