yar har...
actually, i used to have a "Design" subfolder on my bloglines, but i got rid of it.

To add to your web/css design, you have to put Dave Shea's MezzoBlue up there (creator of CSS Zen Garden) -
http://www.mezzoblue.com/rss/index.xml

Then for software discussion and design in general (not necessarily web), try Will Shiply, creator of Delicious Monstor, the DVD/Book/media cataloger for Mac
http://wilshipley.com/blog/

And software guru Joel Splosky talks about the software process mostly - http://www.joelonsoftware.com/rss.xml
but more relevantly, just last week he started a series of articles called "Great Design" - http://joelonsoftware.com/design/
he has the 1st draft of 3 of the planned 30+ chapters up so far

i just use sage for FireFox

i've never really looked into what other functions other clients have but it seems like too simple of a job to fuck up. all they do is parse a file and present it to you.

as far as clients go, anybody know of any that notify you when a feed gets a new article (a la gmail notifier)? or at least show which feeds have new articles w/o having to open the feed itself?

i think they all kind of do that.
Bloglines (and Sage) bold the feed (or folder of feeds) in the left column and show you how many unread items are there. And the Bloglines notifier can give you a system tray popup whenever you have unread items

[Edited on February 9, 2006 at 10:47 AM. Reason : and i don't like bloglines cus it doesn't have the best responsiveness]
